Sports nutrition

When you are pushing your body (and mind) to perform it makes sense to fill up on the right fuel. Too often we exercise and don’t spare a thought for kind of food we eat. It’s all too tempting to come out of the gym and think of something that makes a thud at the bottom of a vending machine as dinner. Heard of the phrase: garbage in, garbage out?  It really applies to food and sporting performance. And whether you want to conquer your next Munro or your next marathon, it applies to you.

I’ve worked with athletes and adventurers across many disciplines and can formulate an eating plan targeted directly to your goal. Alternatively I will come and talk to your group, regale you with stories from my own adventures, and dispel some of the myths about what you should and shouldn’t stock up on before you take up that next sporting challenge.

My seminars and talks are put together according to your needs, but the following themes are very popular with sports men and women, and adventurers:

I’m also available for private consultation and can put together a bespoke eating plan for your project. I’ve worked with all kinds of sporting and expeditionary groups in the past including those wishing to take part in ultra endurance events, triathlons, atlantic rowing challenges, Everest expeditions. Clients include the European Space Agency, Rebecca Stephens (the first British woman to reach the summit of Everest), and Pen Haddow (Polar explorer). Read more about my experience here …
