About Chris Fenn
If you’re looking for a nutritionist to help you (and your team) achieve peak health and efficiency whatever you are doing then you’ve come to the right place. I’m Dr Chris Fenn and my aim is to reveal the truth behind the food we eat everyday: which foods give energy, and those that take it away. I can tell you what kind of diet will cause stress, and give you an eating plan that will help relieve it. In fact, whatever your goal I can tell you which foods will offer the optimum nutrition you need.
I can do this because I am an independent nutritionist. Much of the information on food and its effect on health is confusing because it is delivered by experts who are being paid by particular food companies to emphasise the benefits of consuming their products. The advice I deliver via seminars, workshops, talks and publications is based on 25 years of my own research, studies and experience.
My experience:
- I have a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Nottingham where I studied many aspects of food production and specialised in human nutrition, biochemistry and food science.
- I have a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Aberdeen where I put together a thesis on the development and value of sports drinks taken during exercise.
- I am the Chair of the Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire Slow Food convivium.
- I am an associate member of the Guild of Health Writers
- I am a feature writer for outdoor magazines such as TGO (The Great Outdoors).
- I am a regular contributor to BBC radio and television programmes.
